Beverly Ann Howell, age 72, of French Lick, Indiana, and formerly of Shoals, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at the Springs Valley Meadows, in French Lick.

She was born in Springfield, Illinois, on January 1, 1948, to Barnett and Lora Evelyn (Wingfield) Gregory. She married John Howell on August 27, 1966.

Beverly was a graduate of Loogootee High School, a member of The Church of the Cross, in Shoals; the Hanson McFee American Legion Post 61 Women’s Auxiliary, in Shoals, and the Shoals V.F.W. Post 8589 Women’s Auxiliary. She was self-employed, enjoyed fishing and reading.

Survivors include her husband, John Howell, of French Lick, and formerly of Shoals; one daughter, Michelle Galloway and husband Brooks, of French Lick; two grandchildren, Ryan Burkhardt, of California, and Morgan Burkhardt, of French Lick; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Sidney Smoot; and three sisters, Patsy Anderson, of French Lick; Marilyn Stanford and husband Bill, of New Mexico; and Kathleen Kirkland and husband Ron, of Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one foster son, Kirk Sanders; one brother, Robert Rowland; and one sister, Martha Gregory.

Cremation was chosen and a private service will be held at a later date at the Spring Hill Cemetery, in Shoals.

Arrangements were provided by the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home Service, in French Lick.
