Calvin J. Beasley, age 94, of Odon, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, in Bloomington, Indiana.

He was born on May 12, 1927, in Odon, to Harley H. and Alice (Smith) Beasley. He married his loving wife of 70 years, Betty (Stuffle) Beasley on July 14, 1951.

Calvin was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Frady Memorial United Methodist Church and the Odon Masonic Lodge. Calvin farmed and worked at Crane for 20 years as an Ordinance Inspector before retiring in 1984. He enjoyed woodworking and especially spending time with his family.

Family left to cherish the memory of Calvin include his wife, Betty Beasley; one daughter, Judy Fuller and husband Ken, of Raglesville; one son, Mike Beasley, of Loogootee; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ronnie Beasley and wife Diane, of Odon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steve Beasley; brothers, Gary Beasley, John Beasley, Wallace Beasley, and John Edwin Beasley; sisters, Camilla Overton, Irene Sims, Gertrude Kemp, Ava Gee, and Geraldine Harris.

A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 2nd, at the Frady Memorial United Methodist Church, at Raglesville, with Dr. John Hundley officiating the service.

Burial was made in the Raglesville Cemetery, following military graveside rites by the Odon V.F.W. Post #9627.

Visitation was held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Raglesville Cemetery or to the Frady Memorial United Methodist Church.

Arrangements were handled by the Meng Family Funeral Home, in Odon.
