Clifford Lannan, age 89, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at his home.

He was born June 8, 1930, in Daviess County, Indiana, to the late Joseph and Mary Leola (Melton) Lannan.

Clifford was a United States Army Veteran and spent time overseas in Germany. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, a member of the St. Martin Men’s Club, and a past member of St. Vincent de Paul. Clifford’s lifelong farming career was devoted to Lannan Farms Incorporated. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his children, Kenny Lannan and wife Jennifer, of Loogootee; Karen Johnson and husband Tom, of Largo, Florida; Janet Haag and husband Larry, of Terre Haute; Greg Lannan and wife Denise, of Castle Rock, Colorado; Kathy Collison and husband Don, of Washington; and Sharon Lannan, of Loogootee; grandchildren, Brian Lannan, Eric Lannan, Kevin Lannan, Amy Gentry, Kristin Miles, Erin Collison, Alexandria Shake, Jordan Davis and Colten Davis; 14 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Robert Lannan, John Lannan, and Wilma Sinnott.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rita Mae Lannan; brothers, Donald, Paul, Dan, Tom, Jimmy, and Bill Lannan; and sisters, Kate Gilley, Carolyn Clements, Rose Arney, and Mary Arney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Very Reverend J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9th, at St. Martin Catholic Church, in Loogootee.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday (today), January 8th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Blake Funeral Home, in Loogootee, and on Thursday, January 9th, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorial contributions may be made to St. Martin Cemetery Association.
