Donald Lee Lynch, age 82, of West Baden Springs, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019, at IU Health Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He was born in rural Martin County, Indiana, July 14, 1937, to Guy Wilbur Lynch, Sr. and Louisa Alice (Moore) Lynch.  Don married Norma Jean Switzer on June 30, 1961.

Don was a 1956 graduate of Shoals High School and past Chief of the West Baden Volunteer Fire Department. He was a skilled farmer, truck driver, mechanic, welder-fabricator, heavy equipment operator, and a master finish carpenter. He loved playing basketball, baseball, and softball in his youth and was an avid bowler. A favorite pastime was pitching horseshoes with family and friends. He continued to follow all of his favorite sports up to the end.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Lynch, of West Baden Springs; three sons, John Lynch and wife Tawana, of French Lick; Tim Lynch and wife Marsha, of Jasper; and Joe Lynch and wife Tara, of West Baden Springs; one daughter, Donna Reynolds, of West Baden Springs; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Guy W. Lynch, Jr. and Claude “Duke” Lynch.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, August 9th, at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, in French Lick. Brother Wayne Pendley will officiate the service.

Burial will be made in the Ames Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 8th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
