Eula Marie Cave, age 88, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 3:55 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019, at her residence.

She was born near Shoals, Indiana, on October 29, 1930, to Fred and Blanch (Burress) Hovis. She married Donal Cave on January 2, 1952.

Marie was a member of the Crystal Community Church for 65 years and the Ladies Church Choir. She volunteered for the Patoka Valley Center for many years. She enjoyed baking elaborate anniversary and wedding cakes.

Survivors include her husband, Donal Cave; three sons, Stephen Cave, of French Lick; Doug Cave and wife Sandy, of Jasper; and Jeff Cave and wife Kathy, of Mooresville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Salmon, of Shoals, and Linda Cannon, of Petersburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Donna Marie, who died in infancy; one brother, Leo Hovis; and two sisters, Darlene Eastridge and Wilma Jean Land.

A funeral service was conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7th, at the Crystal Community Church.

Burial followed in the Crystal Community Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 2:00 p.m. until the 6:00 p.m. service time at the Crystal Community Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Crystal Community Cemetery.

The Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home, in Jasper, was in charge of the arrangements.
