Gary Mikel Hartman, PA-C, age 67, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Schneck Medical Center.

He was born in Wabash, Indiana, to the late Nathan and Marjorie (Schlemmer) Hartman. On July 24, 1976, he married Theresa “Lynn” Wininger, his wife of 43 years.

Gary was a Physician’s Assistant for over 40 years, serving in Michigan and Indiana. He received his Bachelor’s Degree at Wabash College, he then      received his Master’s Degree from Indiana School of Medicine, and he went on to receive his Physician Assistant Certification from Mercy College, in Detroit, Michigan.

Survivors include his wife; children, Kelly Woods and husband Jason, Kristy Moss and husband Augie, and Mikel Hartman and wife Ashley; grandchildren, Katelynn Grace Woods, Jenna Faith Woods, Hannah Hope Woods, Lucy Eleanor Moss, Joseph Frederick Moss, and Emma Lynn Hartman; and two sisters, Holly LaSalle and Julie Reimer and husband Art.

He was also preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Robert LaSalle.

A funeral service was held at the Blake Funeral Home, in Loogootee, Indiana, on Saturday, October 19th, at 1:00 p.m.

Visitation hours were from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the time of the service.

Burial was made in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, in Bramble, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorials may be written to Schneck Hospice Services, and mailed to Voss & Sons Funeral Service, 316 North      Chestnut Street, in Seymour, IN 47274.

Arrangements were provided by the Blake Funeral Home.
