Gloria Janice (Hamilton) Shaw, age 93, of Michigan, passed away on Sunday morning, October 13, 2019.

She was born April 22, 1926, in Martin County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Lester and Marie (Baker) Hamilton. On July 27, 1947, she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Ernest Shaw, who preceded her in death on April 18, 2019.

She was a member of the Lighthouse Community Church and was employed for 26 years with the Van Buren County Health Department as a vision technician. She enjoyed spending time with her family and doing crafts of all kinds. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include her children, Michael Shaw and wife Rainelle, Rhonda Herron, and Bradley Shaw and wife Fran; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Joyce Kerns, Franklin Hamilton and wife Mary, Dwain Hamilton and wife Micky, June Burris, Charles Hamilton and wife Donna, Glen Hamilton and wife Sherry, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17th, at the Lighthouse Community Church, in Michigan.

A graveside service was held at 1:00 p.m. October 17th, at the Ft. Custer National Cemetery, in Augusta, Michigan.

Donations may be made to the Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, 222 N. Kalamazoo Mall Suite 100, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49007, or the Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doyletown, PA 18901.

The Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial and Cremation Services was in charge of the arrangements.
