Marietta J. Lentz, age 75, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Avon Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on November 30, 1944, in Washington, Indiana, to the late Laurence and Helen (Colvin) Seal.
Marietta was an avid card player and enjoyed antiquing with her friends. She loved to sit on her deck and watch the boats when she lived on West Boggs Lake. She traveled to many places with family and friends and cherished the memories that were made. She was a active and devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She also volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul. Marietta loved spending time and playing with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Knute A. Lentz and wife Tricia; grandchildren, Alex Cook, Isabel Lentz, Ava Lentz, and Myles Lentz; siblings Marlene Bullock, Martha Riggins and husband Steve, and Charles Seal and wife Margene; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Marietta was also preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Michelle Lentz; and brother-in-law, Tony Bullock.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Very Reverend J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17th, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16th, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Blake Funeral Home, in Loogootee.
