Melissa Ann (Pruett) Partridge, age 56, passed away suddenly at her home in Newburgh, Indiana, on Friday, January 24, 2020.

She was born on June 7, 1963.

She graduated from Castle High School in 1981, where she established the first girl’s golf team and was a finalist in her senior year. She went on to attend and play golf at Western Kentucky University, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Her proudest achievement in golf was winning the Evansville Courier and Press Ladies Championship three ti-mes. Her passion and love for her family was foremost in her life.

Melissa is survived by her son, Benjamin Partridge, of Chicago; and her parents, Marvin and Barbara (Love) Pruett, of Newburgh.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Guy and Ruth Love and Chester and Delilah Pruett; and cousin, Ricky Nicholson.

A celebration of life service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1st, at the Alexander Funeral Home - Newburgh Chapel.

For those of you who remember, Melissa started her young life at Shoals, as the daughter of Marvin and Barbara Pruett. Her father was the head basketball coach at Shoals during the years 1963 through 1965.
